Why a bubble cover

A sheet of air bubbles floats on the water and lets the sunlight through, working like a greenhouse: it warms the water during the day and holds on to that heat overnight. At the same time it slows evaporation, so you lose less water and fewer chemicals.
You can cover and uncover the pool by hand, or with a roller, in under a minute. No building work and no fixed installation — just your pool and a cover cut to its exact shape.
Rectangular, Roman-end, kidney and irregular pools each need their own allowances and finishing details. For an irregular shape, a photo and a quick conversation are often the best starting point.

How it works
How a solar pool cover works
A solar pool cover is a sheet of air bubbles that floats on the surface, in contact with the water. It is also sold as a solar blanket for pools, a bubble blanket or a thermal blanket: they are all the same product. It works in two ways at once.
Saving water
The cover slows evaporation, so your swimming pool loses less water and you top it up less often. The exact figure depends on the material and is stated in its data sheet. According to the manufacturer, the reduction reaches up to 98% in these materials:

In the other materials the cover also reduces evaporation, but their data sheet gives no percentage and we do not publish one.

Less evaporation also reduces chemical loss. You keep more of the chemicals in the pool, and leaves, dust and insects stay out of the water.

What is a solar blanket for pools?
It is a bubble cover, also called a solar pool cover or thermal blanket: a sheet of air bubbles that floats on the water, lets the sun through and warms the pool like a greenhouse.
Do I need a roller?
No. You can cover and uncover the pool by hand. With a roller, one person does it in seconds, and the roller can also be motorised. The roller keeps the cover rolled up and protected from the sun when it is not in use.
Which bubble cover should I choose?
It depends on the material. We make five levels, from the 400-micron blue bubble, with the lowest material price, to the reinforced EnergyGuard, our best seller and the one with the greatest durability, for heavy use. The configurator shows the price for your own pool.
How much does a solar pool cover cost?
