Is your pool 8 × 4 metres? These are the prices of the cover made to measure in our Albox workshop, the same ones the configurator gives: the solar bubble cover from €408.16 (+ VAT) and the winter cover for €447.68 (+ VAT).

Which cover should you choose for your 8 × 4 metre pool?

The solar bubble cover is the summer cover: it warms the water and slows evaporation. The winter cover, also called a debris cover, protects the pool from autumn to spring and the anchors are included in the price. Solar bubble cover: for the swimming season

It is a sheet of air bubbles that floats on the water and lets the sun through. According to the manufacturer, it raises the water temperature by up to 8° and reduces evaporation, by up to 98% according to the data sheet of the materials that state it. With less evaporation you lose less water and fewer chemicals, and leaves, dust and insects stay out. The best seller is the reinforced one, the most durable.

Winter cover: the winter pool cover

It is a 580 g/m² PVC pool cover, with an anti-mould treatment and resistant to UV rays. It is anchored to the edge and covers the water from autumn to spring. That keeps out leaves and algae, and when you open the pool in spring you need less treatment. The service life of any cover depends on the material, the sun and the care you give it.

If your pool is a different size

The price changes with the real size of your pool, with its shape, with the steps and with the reel. The configurator gives it to you straight away. Installation and delivery

Installation is added depending on your town, from €150.00 (+ VAT) in our area: you'll find the price for each town under areas we cover. Yes, at a fixed price: you'll find it in the shop as the 8x4 winter cover. It is made for a pool of exactly that size; if yours is any different, use the configurator and we make it to your measurements.

How long does a pool cover last?

We don't give a figure in years, because service life depends on the material, the sun it gets and how it is looked after. Among the solar covers, the reinforced one has the greatest durability and is designed for intensive use. The winter cover is 580 g/m² PVC, with an anti-mould treatment and resistant to UV rays.

Do I need a winter cover and a solar cover?

They are two covers with different jobs, used at different times of year. The solar cover is the summer cover: it warms the water and slows evaporation, so you lose less water and fewer chemicals. The winter cover protects the pool from autumn to spring. You can have just one, or both.

Is it made to measure or ready-made?

Made to measure. The solar cover and the winter cover are cut and sewn in our Albox workshop to your pool's measurements. Only the winter cover in the shop comes in fixed sizes, for pools of exactly those sizes.

What if my pool has steps, another shape or I want a reel?

The configurator gives you the exact price for your pool straight away, with its shape, steps and reel.

How do I measure my pool?

The configurator asks for the measurements step by step, with a drawing. The winter cover is measured from stone to stone, along the outer edge of the coping.
